Good Food, Great Fellowship, and Successful Fundraising

The evening of February 18, 2018, was filled with excitement as individuals, all stakeholders of the Decatur Adventist Junior Academy (DAJA), entered the Stone Ridge Event Center located at 1750 Stoneridge Drive A, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 for an evening of good food, fellowship, and fundraising. Many were Alumni, former teachers, Southern Union administrators, parents, church members, and board members of DAJA. Also present were news castors from Fox News, which featured the event on their Atlanta Fox Morning Show. This event was the first of two showcase events of Project 150 for 2018.

The cocktail hour featured a Silent Auction as part of the fundraiser. Some of the contributors to the Silent Auction offered skin care products, African outfits, photography portraits sittings, books, and more which were elegantly coordinated by Mrs. Lorna English.

Our Emcee for the evening was Ferrand Dolland and our featured entertainment was recording artist Amber Bullock. We were also moved by our keynote speaker Brennon Francois and were soothed by the smooth sound of the Ezzy Band. Chef Haynes provided a smorgasbord of vegetarian, chicken, and fish entrees with several delicious desserts.
